An aerial photograph from 1960 shows areas of the village Scheuerhof near Raitenhaslach that are not yet heavily built-up. Today, housing estates are predominant there. (Picture: Wolfgang Hopfgartner)

At that time, almost one third of the municipality's area went to nearby Burgkirchen, while the bigger part has been incorporated into the area of the City of Burghausen. Local heritage expert Wolfgang Hopfgartner is explaining the development of Raitenhaslach and its village parts after the local government restructuring of 1978 on next Friday, February 23, 2018 at 7:00 pm in the Red Salon at the TUM Science & Study Center Raitenhaslach.

Drawing on a rich treasure of pictures, Hopfgartner literally brings back to light many things forgotten. He calls to mind extensive structural changes as well as important events in the political and cultural life of the community. Not least, he presents the restoration of the prelate's building of the former monastery, which was only recently completed, as well as the opening of the TUM Science & Study Center in the year 2016.

Interested persons are very welcome to join the audience. The lecture will be held in German. As there is only a limited number of seats available, please be punctual.
