Stefan Wischnewski, originally of Munich, was an "artist in residence" at the Burghausen castle in 2017 and created works of different materials there. His objects and installations resulted also from the artist's analysis of the historic rooms of the TUM Science & Study Center Raitenhaslach – from September 29 to 30 2018, his works are exhibited in the Aula maior and the garden arcade.

Next to the exhibits, the artist is also presenting his new catalogue "NO LOOK PASS". On Sunday at 11 am, a talk on the subject of "Art & Function" is taking place in the Red Salon of the TUM Science & Study Center. On Saturday and Sunday, the exhibition is open from 10 am to 6 pm.

In summer 2018, Stefan Wischnewski designed and produced the temporary sculpture "WAVE" for the plaza in front of the prelate's building in Raitenhaslach. The big sculpture consisting of a fine steel net symbolizes the cultural and scientific exchange in the former Cistercian monastery, which is a source of constant development in research, teaching and art. Moreover, the sculpture directly relates to the water of the Salzach River, symbolizing it by the wavy structure of the net. It will be exhibited here until the end of November 2018.

The event is organized by the "Haus der Fotografie" Burghausen. Please find more information on the exhibition and the artist in the program (in German, PDF 375 KB).
