Ceremonial act TUM 150 tomorrow live on BR television

The broadcasting of the major anniversary ceremony starts at 10 am

In the presence of the Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and the Bavarian Minister President Dr. Markus Söder, the founding of what is today the Technical University of Munich is commemorated tomorrow, April 12 2018, with a formal ceremony. Exactly 150 years ago, King Ludwig II signed the foundation charter of the "Königlich Bayerische Polytechnische Schule zu München".

TUM-President Wolfgang A. Herrmann, together with the high-ranking guests, will honor the historical development of TUM, its current position in international competition and its global future perspectives. Television journalist Anouschka Horn is hosting the ceremonial act in the Herkulessaal (Hercules Hall) of the Munich Residence. The Symphonisches Ensemble München, led by Prof. Felix Mayer, is providing musical accompaniment.

The ceremonial act will be broadcasted live on Bavarian television starting at 10 am. Already starting at 9:15 am the BR is showing a documentary about the history and success of the Technical University of Munich.
