Lively poetry and foot-tapping jazz – the song program of the concert in the Aula maior on Saturday, July 21 2018 ranges between these two poles. The Women's Ensemble of the music school in Burghausen is hosting this highly enjoyable music entertainment. The ensemble has been enthralling their audience already for more than 25 years. The City of Burghausen is organizing the event.

With Erika Peldszus-Mohr conducting, the twelve experienced singers are interpreting classical song variations by Hensel, Mahler, Brahms and Strauss. Well-known jazz hits, too, like "Fly me to the moon" and "It's a grand night for singing" are part of the repertoire. Even the Bavarian anthem will be played – the pianist Josef Irgmaier, not an unknown person in Raitenhaslach and Burghausen, is presenting the work in new arrangements.

The concert is starting at 7:00 pm, the admission is free of charge. As usual, concert guests can reach the Aula maior via the annex to the ceremonial hall building (eastern side of the TUM Science & Study Center). Because of the limited number of seats the Bürgerhaus Burghausen (community hall, phone +49 8677 97400) and the Burghausen Tourist Office (phone +49 8677 887140) are distributing reserved seat tickets in advance.
